INDIVIDUAL REFLECTIONS


1.      Aware of roles of the teachers as a curricularist, how do you percieve your role as curricularist?

  • As a future curricularist  I will going to promote the objectives of  secondary education; and discover and enhance the different aptitudes and interests of students in order to equip them with skills for productive endeavor and or to prepare them for tertiary schooling provide general education programs which will promote national identity, cultural consciousness, moral integrity and spiritual vigor; train the nation’s manpower in the skills required for national development; and advance knowledge through research and apply new knowledge for improving the quality of human life and respond effectively to changing society.
2.      Some teachers in the K-12 Curriculum are not aware and prepared of the implementation of the           curriculum, which functions were not played considering that case? 

  • Based on my latest observation about the implementation of k-12 program, I can say that most of the teachers are not totally equip and prepared yet for teaching the way that learners can cope with easily. For me it is indeed needed to require all the teachers to attend variety of seminars for them to to be aware or prepare themselves for the things to be improve to help the learners learn easily because seminars will help them to mold the real best teacher in the new curriculum.

INDIVIDUAL RFLECTIONS  1. If you are to build a school, which curriculum are your priorities. Name three and explain why. I f I build my own school, I will focus or prioritized the Taught, written, and learned curriculum. Which is if I combined these three curriculum I predict what is the possible results of this because in taught curriculum the learner is not out from the topic because the teacher should have a good lesson plan to teach the lesson clearly. In Written curriculum this is the process which is need to be develop the concepts, knowledge, skill, attitude, and the actions of the students. If they developed this five essentials elements of written curriculum there's a possibility to learner to become excellent. Last is the Learned Curriculum. We all know that some of teachers used the traditional way of teaching. This curriculum there is a big help to the school because I believe to John Dewey, "Learning by doing" so this is the best way to the student...
